Diving
Komodo offers some of the best diving on the planet, with marine diversity that is simply mind blowing! Beautiful coral reefs, pinnacles and seamounts with schools of pelagic fish, sharks and of course Manta! Komodo has a very healthy Manta population and these magnificent creatures can be seen year round at some sites.
But Manta are really just the icing on the cake. Reef Sharks, Turtles, Tuna, Giant Trevally, Napoleon Wrasse and a host of other beautiful fish and amazing macro critters are all on show here. Occasionally we are also lucky enough to see Whaleshark, Dolphins and even Whales during dives or as we cruise from one dive site to the next.

DIVING WITH US
Komodo is becoming a busy diving destination and once you have seen below the surface it’s easy to see why more and more people are coming here. But this does mean that, at times, the most popular and well-known spots can get busy with daily diving boats from the mainland. But don’t worry, we do our best to schedule dives at these sites outside the busiest periods and we change our itinerary on every trip to allow for tides, conditions, currents and to avoid the crowds.
We love diving here and work hard to show you Komodo as it should be seen. We are also exploring new sites and have discovered some that we are happy to show you as long as you keep the secret!
On every dive with us you will be accompanied by a guide who has a minimum PADI Divemaster or Instructor certification and lots of experience in Komodo’s currents. Our maximum diver to guide ratio is 4 guests per guide, but it’s often less on most trips.

CURRENTS AND SAFETY
Diving in Komodo is exceptional but it can also be challenging, with strong currents at some sites. But these currents are what provide the nutrient rich waters which sustain our healthy coral reefs and an abundance of marine life.
Don’t let Komodo’s reputation for current worry you however; our guides have lots of experience and schedule each dive allowing for tides and conditions offering you the best and safest dive possible. Our guests often leave commenting that they have learned a lot while diving with us in Komodo.
Before every dive you will get a thorough briefing about the dive site, conditions, entry and exit procedures, and marine life etc. There is also always surface support and monitoring by our speedboat crew.
Let us know if it has been a while since your last dive and we will schedule a more sedate dive with your instructor for your first dive so that you can regain your confidence, refresh your skills, and get any help or advice you need.

We offer a variety of courses on board both Wunderpus and Mimic. If you are a certified diver and wish to gain new skills such as your improved buoyancy or learn how to handle currents better, we recommend you to take PADI Advanced Open Water Course.
If you are a snorkeler but would like to know what the fuss is all about when scuba diving, we can take you on a DSD – Discover Scuba Diving –excursion underwater, or even teach you to become a certified diver.
We also offer specialty courses like Deep, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Diver and Night Diver.
